Customers of Ozona Grill & Bar in College Station associate the restaurant with the relaxed patio atmosphere and the great happy hour specials. So do The Eagle's readers as the local hot spot won Readers' Choice Awards for both “Best Happy Hour” and “Best Outdoor/Patio Dining.”
The College Station Ozona is the second location for the popular restaurant. The original Ozona opened in 1992 near SMU in Dallas. Named after a famous West Texas town, the menu at Ozona Grill & Bar was inspired by traditional Texas and border cuisine. The Dallas Ozona's trademark was its patio dining areas, often regarded as the biggest and shadiest in the city. In 2003, Ozona expanded to College Station, brining that same outdoor experience to Aggieland.
“Ozona provides a unique dining atmosphere to the B/CS area,” said Skylar Bell, Director of Operations for Ozona. “We believe we have the largest, shadiest and most natural patio environment in town. We try to combine that with a casual and fun atmosphere that can be enjoyed while watching sports, listening to live music or simply relaxing over brunch, lunch or dinner.”
With the relaxed patio atmosphere and variety of happy hour specials like Working Women's Wednesday, it's not hard to see why Ozona Grill & Bar is a popular place to find people unwinding at the end of a tough day.
“We enjoy seeing our guests smiling and enjoying themselves when they are dining with us, and seeing them leaving happy and ready to come back again,” Bell said.
This is the second year in a row that Ozona has won for “Best Happy Hour” and they are pleased to add “Best Outdoor/Patio Dining” to their list of accomplishments.
