For years our customers have enjoyed the experience of getting to observe the jewelry design process and getting to spend time with our Bench Jewelers. This year we decided to take it one step further and let customers have a hands -on experience at the bench. Not only does it give customers a greater appreciation for the jewelry making process, but it helps them understand the importance of having American Gem Society certified bench professionals working on their jewelry.
That is just one of the reasons that the David Gardner's Design Studio was built in the middle of the store. Another reason is transparency, which is more important than ever to today's consumer. We think it is a good thing and embrace the opportunity to let customers in on more of the process and hear what they think.
We invite you to stop by and visit with our team of jewelers. They will be happy not only to show you the jewelry making process, but let you try It for yourself. As we continue to change and improve the jewelry shopping experience for our customers, it is a tremendous compliment to have been voted Best Jewelry Store. Just know that we are never satisfied and want to keep on improving to win your confidence year after year!
Julia and David, along with their longtime associate Dean Wile began the store in 1983 with the goal to create an environment that fosters creativity, honesty and quality. That goal was rewarded in 1992 when they were extended membership into the American Gem Society. David Gardner’s is part of only 5% of jewelers, designers, appraisers and suppliers nationwide who have met the exacting standards of the organization. Standards that include a dedication to ethics, knowledge and consumer protection.
Staff members are encouraged to continue their education with opportunities from the American Gem Society, Gemological Institute of America, and various training seminars throughout the country.
Julia and David are committed to give back to the community that has generously supported their business. They are proud supporters of the various community organizations such at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley, American Cancer Society, MSC OPAS, Twin City Mission and numerous others.
The "Aggie Spirit" is alive and well at David Gardner’s Jewelers. Julia and David are ardent supporters of Texas A&M University. They are frequent speaking guests in the College of Business and are sponsors of the Center for Retailing Studies. In 2006, David Gardner’s Jewelers begin a partnership with the athletic department and is the “Official Jeweler of Aggie Athletics.”
